UNHCR Field Vest NFC PVC Keyring

VVFY Studio produced an NFC-enabled PVC keyring modeled after UNHCR’s field vest. The keyring was created in connection with ‘Run & Deliver,’ a mobile game launched for World Refugee Day 2026 to build awareness of refugee protection and humanitarian relief work. In the game, participants take on the role of a UNHCR emergency relief worker across three episodes, then can explore stories from real humanitarian operations and enter an NFC keyring giveaway after completing the experience. VVFY Studio translated the recognizable form of a humanitarian field vest into a compact PVC keyring and integrated NFC into the physical product. The role participants encounter in the digital game is carried beyond the screen through an object they can keep with them. Tapping the keyring with a smartphone takes the user to a page where they can view current updates on UNHCR’s humanitarian work. With no separate app or additional interaction required, the keyring itself serves as the interface between the physical object and ongoing digital information. The field-vest form visually represents UNHCR’s work on the ground, while NFC connects that symbol to current humanitarian stories. The project gives a campaign giveaway an ongoing digital role, allowing users to return to the organization’s relief updates through the physical keyring.
