At adidas's THE ORIGINAL WEEKEND pop-up event, NFC objects were introduced into the fitting rooms to turn the brand identity into an experience people could actively take part in. Visitors could style themselves in adidas products, take photos of their looks, and upload the images through NFC tags. Once the upload was complete, they could immediately receive a gift on-site. This was designed as more than a simple event mechanic. It created a structure in which users themselves generated the content, allowing adidas to naturally secure real styling examples that could later be used as marketing assets. NFC objects were placed throughout the venue to heighten immersion, and by applying secure NFC technology, content uploads and reward claims were made possible only through in-person participation. This strengthened both the exclusivity of the on-site experience and the incentive to join the event.

This fitting room served as one of the central spaces of the adidas pop-up event. Visitors could try on a variety of adidas items, complete their own styling, and upload photos through NFC objects to share a unique brand experience.

NFC selfie experience zone

Visitors upload their FIT CHECK photos using NFC tags. Because secure NFC technology made participation possible only on-site, the zone delivered an exclusive experience and achieved high engagement by allowing users to receive rewards immediately.
