Olive Young NFC Check-in Rally in Seongsu

An NFC check-in promotion linking the Seongsu district into one visit journey

Olive Young NFC Check-in Rally in Seongsu

VVFY Studio participated in an NFC-based check-in rally project designed to extend the opening of Olive Young Beauty Mansion into a full district-wide visit experience across Seongsu. Customers visit Olive Young stores in the Seongsu area including Beauty Mansion, tag the NFC checkpoints placed in each store, and collect key stamps on their mobile web. The experience flows from offline store exploration to mobile check-in to final reward guidance as a single connected journey. The promotion was anchored on the newly opened Olive Young Beauty Mansion, with a visit route running through N Seongsu, Seongsu Yeobang-jeom, Seongsu Station branch, and Ttukseom Station branch. The structure is designed to guide customers beyond a single-store visit and experience multiple Olive Young locations across the Seongsu area together. The entire promotion was built around an 'open housewarming' concept. Beauty Mansion served as the host and highlight space, while the surrounding Seongsu stores were connected like neighboring spots to visit along the way. Customers naturally experience the role and message of each space as they move through the area. Customers find the NFC checkpoint inside each store, tap to check in, and earn a key stamp on their mobile web. The on-site tag points and signage act as offline touchpoints where customers first discover how to participate, and the check-in state carries forward on the mobile web after each NFC tap. Each store's check-in conditions and reward flow were also reflected in the mobile web. When the required conditions are met, the reward claim screen activates, and on-site staff enter a password to complete the claim process. This reduces unauthorized manipulation by participants and supports a reward distribution flow that matches actual on-site operations. The admin page provides visibility into per-store participation status, checkpoint tag counts, and hourly participation trends. Operators can use this data to identify which stores and spaces see higher engagement, and where participation drops off after certain checkpoints — giving them a reference for in-store signage placement, customer flow design, staffing, and promotion point selection.
